A distribution list is a group of contacts (email addresses), usually grouped under a single name or address. ITS maintains various distribution groups in Google Contacts. Each department has a department group and can be used at any time. Larger groups such as Student class groups and employee groups will require authorization by submitting an application.

- Prior approval for use must be granted by submitting the Email Distribution List Access Request
- Groups must be used in the BCC field of any email
