We ask students to reflect on their own identities over the course of the year, thinking about who they were in high school, what goals they had for themselves, and how they're going to develop as intellectual and social citizens through their coursework, course experiences, community-based learning practices, and co-curricular activities within the Monserrat program.

The Montserrat Experience
In addition to addressing life’s big questions, the Montserrat seminar is meant to address concerns students have about first-year college life: What academic support services are available to me? Who do I talk to about dorm life or extracurricular activities? What health and wellness programs address my needs? Montserrat seminar professors introduce students to the invisible curriculum, providing an insider’s guide to campus living.
