As the Coordinator of Outreach, I am excited to engage with the campus community in raising awareness about student mental health and providing prevention programming. CAPS staff members and the Counseling Outreach Peer Educators (COPE) are available to provide psychoeducational workshops and presentations related to student mental health. Examples of requests include having CAPS staff members or COPE members come to classrooms and/or student-organized events to provide suicide prevention education, to raise awareness regarding mental health, and to provide information on the services we offer to students. CAPS also facilitates presentations and training related to mental health to Holy Cross staff and faculty members. Please submit these requests for outreach at least 30 days prior to the tentative date of the presentation.
CAPS staff members and COPE members do not provide debriefing or counseling at events.
