The Billy Collins ’63 Scholarship for Studies in Classics is a need-based grant, for which students may not apply. It is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid to two Holy Cross students who are Classics majors and are receiving need-based financial aid packages. For students who receive a Billy Collins ’63 Scholarship for Studies in Classics, it is entirely their choice about whether there is any publicity about their scholarship and this is in no way a condition of the scholarship.
For more information about this scholarship and its inaugural recipients, please see the Holy Cross Magazine article “Inaugural Billy Collins ‘63 Scholarship Propels Holy Cross Students to Law School, Graduate Opportunities.”
