The Learning Design and Digital Media Services group facilitates academic uses of technology in teaching, learning and research. The department investigates and promotes new educational technologies and in partnership with other departments, advocates for faculty with respect to technology support.
The department includes the following groups:
Audio Visual - A-V Services can assist with production, presentations, events, training and design of departmental, lab or studio AV systems, and has equipment available for loan.
Digital Media Services - Digital Media Services team partners with the college community to develop and deploy useful technology in the classroom.
Learning Design Team - The Learning Design team partners and supports faculty and staff to develop inclusive, innovative, and learner-centered educational experiences grounded in evidence-based pedagogy. The team’s diverse skill set offers expertise in course and curriculum development, instructional and assignment design, Canvas, data visualization and analysis, accessible educational materials, and effective use of multimedia and academic technology to enhance learning.
Media Resource Center - We offer various services and personnel to help with projects and media campus-wide. The lab holds a mix of iMacs and PCs with specialized software, two black and white printers, one color printer, and the sound-reduced Media Suite.
