You've heard it over and over: a summer internship is a crucial component of a college student's career. Internships are particularly important for undergraduates studying at a liberal arts institution. These experiences allow students to immerse themselves in an industry of interest and “test drive” a potential career field. Internships also offer an opportunity to network with professionals, develop new skills and competencies and hone existing strengths. All of these things result in career readiness and increased marketability to prospective employers. Internships are no longer a nicety but rather a necessity and have a lasting impact on a student.
The Center for Career Development(CCD) offers many resources to help Holy Cross students and employers connect for summer internships.
Additionally, the CCD manages the Crusader Internship Fund for matriculating Sophomore and Juniors completing an unpaid summer internship. Students are eligible to receive funding once during their time at Holy Cross. Students are encouraged to read the Crusader Internship Fund FAQ and Policies before applying for funding.
