¡Hola a todos!

My name is José Manuel Moya, but you can call me Jose. I am from Velez-Malaga, and I will be really happy to be your FLA for the next academic year 2024-25. I am 24 and I have been living in different cities and countries for several years, but I was born in paradise: Andalusia. My town is the birthplace of great painters and is well known for its beaches and Semana Santa.

I studied a degree in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada and my working languages are English and German. Before my degree, when I was 15 years old, I spent a summer in London where I learned to develop a wide range of skills, such as communication. During my degree, I did the Erasmus + program in Regensburg, Germany, where I was able to improve my German. Können Sie Deutsch sprechen? 😉

Once I finished my degree, I spent a summer in Santa Cruz, California. It was my first experience in the USA, and it was an amazing summer. Last year I was working in Salzburg, Austria also as a FLA in two high schools and my students were the best! I can't wait to move to Worcester, see the city, walk around The Hill and play some soccer.

In addition to my experiences around the world, I have completed two master's degrees: one in Teacher Training for Secondary Education (English) and one in Tradumatics: Translation Technologies. My main passions are sports and music, I used to play the trumpet when I was little and now, I love playing paddle tennis or go snowboarding, I'm sure we'll organize a ski trip during the winter!

That's all about me, I'm sure we'll have a great year!

¡Hasta pronto!

Jose
