A Pakistani-born Muslim, Mehnaz M. Afridi discusses her journey as a scholar of the Holocaust—her experience with Judaism, her interviews with Holocaust survivors, encountering antisemitism and Islamophobia, and Islam and memory. She is associate professor of Religious Studies and director of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Interfaith Education Center at Manhattan College and author of "Shoah Through Muslim Eyes" (American Studies Press, 2017).
Her talk at Holy Cross is part of the Kraft-Hiatt Program for Jewish-Christian Understanding.
