About the Speaker: Alan Rosen, Kraft-Hiatt Scholar-in-Residence, is a scholar of Holocaust literature and a lecturer at Yad Vashem. His books include "The Wonder of their Voices: The 1946 Holocaust Interviews of David Boder," "Sounds of Defiance: The Holocaust, Multilingualism, and the Problem of English" and "Dislocating the End: Climax, Closure, and the Invention of Genre."
About the Talk: Rosen weaves personal stories of European Jews who survived or died in the Holocaust with historical background on the events that led up to and shaped World War II in Europe. He talks about what it means to bear witness. In the Q&A, he talks about the root cause of anti-Semitism and how to combat it.
