About the Speaker: Charles Asher Small is founding director of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy and a fellow at Tel Aviv University. He is the author of books and articles including the six-volume “Global Antisemitism: A Crisis of Modernity” published by Brill and ISGAP; “The Yale Papers: Antisemitism in Comparative Perspective;” and “Antisemitism in Comparative Perspective: Volume Two.”
About the Lecture In his talk, Dr. Small recalls the words of Elie Wiesel: "Antisemitism begins with Jews, but it never ends with Jews." He breaks down three forms of antisemitism and their place in historical context and shares current examples of antisemitism, their prevalence, and risks to human rights and democratic principles.
