Hola a todos! My name is Alberto and I will be on the Spanish FLA´s team this course. I am 25 years old and I come from Tui, a small city from Galicia, right on the border with Portugal. Since I was 18 I have been studying in León learning and becoming the kind of person I have always wanted to be.
I have a degree in English Studies, a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and I am currently studying a Master’s degree in Teacher Training. I can speak 3 languages: Spanish, Galician and English, always up to learn any other else. Travelling is something which arouses my curiosity and provoke reflexion on myself, that is why I have been in more than 30 countries, sometimes alone as a backpacker and some other times with many different friends from all over the world.
I have always known that both teaching Spanish and travelling abroad were my passions. For this reason, I not only spent one academic year in Bielsko-Biała (Poland) learning English but also did different internships teaching Spanish: one in León (Spain) with refugees from Iran, Syria and Turkey, and another one in Iceland at the University of Reykjavik and many highschools all over the country.
As for my hobbies, I love doing sports, such as basketball and badminton. Music and languages are, of course, also a big part of my life and personality. If you want me to discover and experience something different, I will be delighted to try!
I am a bit shy in the beginning, but if you give me a chance, you will get to know an open, warm and happy person. I really look forward to meeting you all soon. Let´s make this an awesome year!
