About the Speaker: Dipayan Ghosh is a fellow at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. He previously worked on privacy issues and public policy at Facebook and was a technology and economic policy advisor to the Obama White House.
About the Talk: Dr. Ghosh shows how the business model of social media platforms enables nefarious actors to exploit their technology to undermine the American political process. He suggests a longterm policy agenda to address market competition, digital rights, and transparency in how social media companies collect data and curate content.
