Learn about yourself
College is a place meant for self-discovery. Learn about yourself as much as any academic subject. A college should foster an education but also help you reflect on important questions you’ll ask now and throughout your life: Who have I been? Who am I now? Who do I want to become in the world? How do I want to live for others?
A found family
Our circles of friends grow through each step of our lives - from kindergarten to high school, competing in athletics or creating art and some are our peers while others are older mentors. College is a mixing pot of cultures, lived experiences, ideas and thoughts, lifting you out of your comfort zone and broadening your perspective. It’s a community you’ll continue to interact with far beyond graduation. Sharing an alma mater is a unique club that will always bring a smile to your face.
Making a difference
A diploma is a piece of paper, but the passion behind the degree makes it special. Through mentors on campus, friends and family, college has a way of highlighting your best qualities and utilizing them to create something incredible. Follow your passion and it will lead to successes you never could have imagined. The possibilities are endless, but here’s a secret: they already exist inside of you. Unlock them after high school.
Pursue your passion
The possibilities are almost endless between majors, double majors, adding a minor or concentration, even certificates. The good news is there’s no need to feel rushed or pressured to decided. It’s normal to visit, apply and even enroll at a college without knowing the area you’ll study.
Support to Succeed
College comes with new experiences — some that are entirely new for some like living on your own, having a roommate and different learning environments. It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, nervous or even hesitant. Colleges have a host of resources and support services to help and care for you when you need it. Take advantage of everything that’s offered.
Learning by doing
Academics extends outside the classroom at Holy Cross. Beyond learning about accounting, you can visit and speak with the top banks in the country. You’ll immerse beside faculty research normally reserved for graduate students. You’ll receive tips and priceless pointers from Holy Cross alumni in the field you plan to work in.
Montserrat
A one-of-a-kind learning experience that Holy Cross students often describe as their favorite stop along their college journey. Montserrat lays the foundation of a Jesuit, liberal arts college experience. The program for all first-year students reimagines education and thinking by blurring the lines between classrooms, residence halls, and co-curricular activities
Experience Worcester
One of the jewels of the Holy Cross experience is spending four years in Worcester. New England’s second-largest city is cultural hub of food, live performances, events, shopping and more. Within the realm of academics, the city offers opportunities to study and learn alongside professionals.
