Digital Art Studio courses at Holy Cross explore new technologies for creating contemporary art within a studio setting.
Students in digital media classes examine the impact of digital processes on art and artists and create computer-based artworks in formats ranging from medium- and large-format digital prints to web-based art and virtual reality, computer graphics, computer animation, internet art and interactive art technologies.
Students will research the work of artists who use new media processes to produce art, and will research and create digital artworks within a college-wide collaborative atmosphere. Courses in Digital Art utilize the Millard Media Lab and the Makerspace, which houses an electronics lab, a laser cutter and 3D printer.
