Academic year applicants and students applying to specialized semester programs must, by the completion of their third semester, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (3.1 for Trinity College in Ireland, 3.7 for Oxford Colleges: Lady Margaret Hall, Mansfield College, Oriel College and St Edmund Hall, 3.5 for London School of Economics & Political Science and 3.2 for the University of St Andrews in the UK). Students who study in a second-language program should be in the 300 level by the semester before they depart. Sometimes this requirement can be met with a summer class. Visit the Office of Study Abroad to speak with one of the directors for details.
Holy Cross encourages students to study abroad and, if you meet the requirements, and are in good academic and community standing at the College, you will likely be accepted.
For Holy Cross Summer Study Abroad (Maymester) programs, there is no minimum GPA requirement. Any freshman, sophomore, or junior in good academic and disciplinary standing is eligible to participate. In most cases, there is no foreign-language prerequisite.
