Specifications

Alumni Hall consists of full and modified suites. A full suite consists of bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom and can house four to six students. A modified suite consists of bedrooms and a living room and can house two to four students. In each residence hall, there is a common lounge, a study lounge, and laundry facilities. The Kimball Quad outside Alumni and Carlin hosts annual events such as the Battle of the Bands, barbecues, and the Spring Weekend Fair.

A standard room contains one desk, desk chair, desk lamp, dresser, bookcase, and bed per occupant. Most bedrooms are 12’ x 18’ with carpeted floors. Every room has a window and fire-retardant drapes. Each bed is a twin and uses extra long sheets (“college size” sheets are recommended). As overhead lighting is not provided, students are encouraged to bring an extra, non-halogen, lamp. Most living rooms contain a couch, a love seat or two lounge chairs, a coffee table and end tables.

Alumni Hall was built in 1905 and named for the Alumni as “a lasting monument of their loyalty.” Alumni houses approximately 180 upperclass students. There are six Residence Life staff members who live and work in the building; five resident assistants (RAs) and a head resident assistant (HRA). The associate director of residence life and housing also lives in Alumni.
