
Biography
Victoria Swigert received her Ph.D. from the University at Albany. In 1975, Swigert joined Holy Cross in their sociology department. Swigert's time at the College included teaching courses in her areas of specialization — criminology, social deviance and sociology of law. In 1990, she also was appointed assistant dean of the College and has served as dean of the classes of 1994, 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2008. Swigert is currently Professor Emerita in Sociology, after three decades of teaching at the College.
