Biography

After almost 40 years of teaching Economics, Nicolas Sanchez retired from Holy Cross in January 2011 and moved to Florida in 2014. Sanchez continues doing research and has since published, M. Gendre and N. Sanchez, Aligning Values and Politics: Empowerment versus Entitlement, University Press of America, 2016.

Sanchez wants to thank his many students for the opportunity they gave him at having a meaningful life. He is aware of the challenges he presented his students, but he hopes they can now find appreciation in those challenges. Sanchez also wants his students to know that they have the responsibility to keep learning, for the benefit of others and themselves, and to involve themselves in their children’s educational process.
