Job Description
We are looking for student staff to serve our guests with great customer service skills who are dependable, motivated and possess good time management skills. Expected tasks include, maintaining proper portion controls, adhering to proper procedures for customers with food allergies, stocking, cleaning and keeping the work area organized. Please Note: Student applicants will be required to attend specialized Starbucks training. Previous experience working at a Starbucks is a plus!
Located in Stein, Cafe Babel is one of the campus’ three cafes. As a Starbucks @ Cafe Babel employee, you are responsible for cafe beverages, smoothies, and bakery items. You will often handle customer transactions, using credit and debit cards, and Dining Dollars at the cash register. Students should be comfortable taking and remembering the orders of customers. Various other stocking tasks may be required, including but not limited to taking out the trash, restocking milk and sugar stations, refilling napkin holders, and retrieving dry items from the storage closet. Opening and closing shifts also assist Career Staff with a specific set of tasks.
