Student and Alumni Career Network

Welcome to the Holy Cross Career Network. The Office of Alumni Relations offers a Career Network to alumni and students in need of career advice. In today's competitive and rapidly changing job market, many alumni are encountering and anticipating career change. The situation is equally compelling for those about to enter the world of work. The purpose and goal of the Holy Cross Career Network is to provide support and serve as a valuable resource to alumni and students.

An extensive network of Holy Cross alumni stands ready to offer career advice and support to students and alumni managing career change and making career decisions. The Career Network provides a link between those seeking career information and support (students and alumni) and those in a position to provide assistance (established alumni in career fields). Information, opportunity and support are critical resources to those managing career change and making career decisions. The data base of career advisors is updated on an ongoing basis to ensure that it reflects the most up to date and accurate information available. Alumni are encouraged to update their career information directly through the Alumni Online Community or by contacting Alumni Records at 508-793-2307.

The Career Network seeks to provide advice and support and not function as an employment agency. It is our intent and hope that the end result will be enhanced career success and satisfaction for all who use the Career Network.

Assistance, while not limited to, is designed to offer:

  • Career information/insight through informational interviews
  • Resume review and advice
  • Networking opportunities and personal referrals
  • Job-seeking strategies

Alumni and students using the Career Network are asked to:

  • Contact only those alumni who have agreed to serve as career advisors
  • Be respectful when initiating contact and identify yourself as a Holy Cross alumna/us or student who is using the Career Network for career assistance
  • Defer to the advisor's schedule when arranging meetings and telephone interviews
  • Be prepared in your knowledge of the advisor's occupation and field
  • Have a list of pertinent questions available to ask
  • Respond in a courteous and prompt manner when acknowledging courtesies given
