The Perspectives Overnight Program is designed for high school seniors who reside outside Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island, who may be from families with limited financial resources, attending rural and urban Title I schools, and/or those who are unable to visit campus on their own. Students who will be the first in their family to attend college (excluding siblings) are also welcome to apply. If you have an interest in visiting Holy Cross, we encourage you to apply regardless of your demographic or economic background.
Through the Perspectives program, we aim to provide space for students to explore topics regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Once on campus, students will connect with current Holy Cross students to ask honest questions and gain valuable insight into the admission process and campus community here at the College of the Holy Cross.
Students must attend with one parent, guardian (over the age of 25), or community mentor (i.e., college counselor). Overnight attendees will stay in a local hotel, and transportation will be provided to and from campus. Travel grants are available upon request in the application form and cover student and guest transportation (flight, bus, and airport shuttle). Hotel accommodations are given to all guests regardless of the travel grant.

If students cannot attend Perspectives, we encourage them to engage with the Holy Cross community through webinars throughout the Fall. In addition, Holy Cross offers campus tours and information sessions that can be scheduled on our website.

No. It is a requirement to have a parent/guardian who is 25 years old+. Students and their guardians will be staying in a hotel, and that is the policy set forth by the hotel. A guardian can be an aunt, uncle, older cousin, older brother or sister, or community mentor.
If you noted that you needed a grant on your application, you will be contacted to confirm your travel arrangements.
The grant covers airfare, bus ticket or train ticket, as well as the hotel stay. It also includes transportation from and to the airport. Meals for all attendees will be provided throughout the event.
Students will receive a complete schedule via email, approximately one week before.
Check-in at the hotel begins on November 4 at 4:00 p.m. Programming will conclude on Monday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m.
